A collection of plugins to fix site presentation annoyances.A collection of plugins derived from various bookmarklets from www.squarefree.com, plus the SiteCheck plugin (also by John Land).

Many of these functions fix site presentation annoyances (why does dark gray text on a black background appeal to people?). Many were done as separate plugins or bookmarklets, but since most are not needed frequently, they have been consolidated into a single icon/dropdown menu plugin.(by John Land)

Icon function: Fix Blank Pages

The plugin icon invokes a function (derived from a plugin by Tara, which was based on Jesse Ruderman's bookmarklet found at www.squarefree.com) that changes the white background for all new blank pages to a selected color (set in plugin.ini under the name "BlankPageColor"; default color is gray). This function works best if you set the Fixes plugin to automatically start after each page is loaded (this is the default setting in plugin.ini).

Menu Item 1: Fix Background Image

Removes the (sometimes obscuring) background image on a page.

Menu Item 2: Fix Colored Page
==========================================
Changes the color of a page to a selected color (set in plugin.ini under the name "PageColorFix"; default color is white).

Menu Item 3: Fix Page and Link Colors
==========================================
Changes several things at once:
(1) sets the page color to a selected color (set in plugin.ini under the name "PageColorFix"; default color is white);
(2) sets the text color to a selected color (set in plugin.ini under the name "TextColorFix"; default color is black);
(3) sets the unvisited link color to a selected color (set in plugin.ini under the name "LinkColorFix"; default color is blue);
(3) sets the visited link color to a selected color (set in plugin.ini under the name "VisitedLinkColorFix"; default color is purple).

Menu Item 4: Fix Link Underlines (Toggle)

Toggles link underlines on or off.

Menu Item 5: Fix Blink and Marquee Effects
==========================================
Stops blinking and marquee (scrolling text) effects.

Menu Item 6: Fix Rollovers
==========================================

Menu Item 7: Fix Uppercase to Lowercase

Changes ALL body text and text areas to lowercase; may be useful on sites (especially legal sites) that use a lot of uppercase text.

Menu Item 8: Fix Lowercase to Uppercase

Changes ALL body text and text areas to uppercase; not sure why you might want to do this, but it is the reciprocal of the Fix Uppercase to Lowercase function.

Menu Item 9: Fix (Remove) Style Sheets
==========================================
Removes Cascaded Style Sheets for a page; not particularly useful for non-programmers, but may be of interest.

Menu Item 10: Fix (Remove) Site Cookie
==========================================
Allows *prompted* removal of the cookie for a site.

Menu Item 11: Site Check
==========================================
This 5-in-1 plugin shows:
(1) the current local, UTC and Internet date and time;
(2) the date a page was last modified (and an indication that the date might not be accurate if the page is dynamically updated);
(3) the page's actual domain (if Javascript is enabled on the page; for secure sites, remember to check the certificate(s);
(4) the complete URL for the page;
(5) the cookies stored by the page.
