A handy combination of 9 Close Tabs plugins.CloseTabs is a combination of 9 Close Tabs plugins.

Click the button to run the default plugin (Close Useless Tabs) and close all tabs that are useless - i.e. about:blank tabs, failed URLs (HTTP 404 etc.), or tabs left open by downloads.

Use the dropdown menu to access the other plugins:

The default plugin settings (including exceptions) can be configured through M Plugin options (in M 1.1.090+) or the drop down menu.

System requirements: MyIE2 0.9.13 - 0.9.27 or Maxthon 1.0.0178+

Note:

This plugin consists of two versions: CloseTabs (for Maxthorn 1.0.0178+ users) and CloseTabs 4MyIE2 (for MyIE2 users).

To install the plugin, unzip the downloaded file to the Plugin folder and restart your browser. The new plugins will be detected - simply uncheck the incompatible one. You can also disable it later - through the M Plugin options.

The incompatible version can be safely deleted.Tip 1:

To make the plugin close useless tabs automatically, set CloseTabs to Auto Start:

Menu Options >> M Options >> Plugin >> M Plugin (or Options >> MyIE2 Options >> Advanced >> MyIE2 Plugin)
Highlight the plugin name
Checkmark the 'Start the plugin after the page is fully loaded' checkbox.

Note: When Auto Start is enabled, the browser will NOT run the plugin on some pages (e.g. those opened by clicking on download links) - but such tabs should still be closed as soon as you open a new one.

Tip 2:

If you wish, you can change the default action for the plugin (executed after the button has been pressed).

To do that open the plugin.ini file, find the FileName entry in the [General] section and replace CloseUseless.htm with the name of the file that you want to use.

Save the changes and restart MyIE2/Maxthon.
