A GUI for editing Maxthon Search bar configuration file (SearchBar.ini).This tool works as a GUI for editing Maxthon Search bar configuration file (SearchBar.ini). SearchBar.ini is used to set up search engines displayed in the drop down menu accessible through the Globe icon on the right of the Search bar input field.
The documentation is in the program.
An important thing is to save the file when Maxthon is closed. Otherwise changes will be discarded.
Note: If your SearchBar.ini is in Unicode, you might see an empty window instead of the list of search engines. Solution: Save your SearchBar.ini file as ANSI.
SearchBar Editor is written in Visual Basic 6 SP6. The full source code is available for download from the forum (link below).
IMPORTANT:
This version might require some .ocx files to run. If this is the first time you're installing the tool, note that it might not work for you. If you are upgrading, please backup your current version to be able to restore it if the new one doesn't work.
