Microformats Button extracts Microformats from websites and allows you to export the data to vCard, vCalendar, Google Maps, Yahoo Maps and other sites.
For example, if you visit a site like upcoming.yahoo.com you will find all sorts of events, like this one.
But how can you export this event to Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar or even Outlook? Copy/paste? No! Simply click on the plugin button, select Events > Travis > Export. Then a vCalendar will be created that can be imported in Outlook.
And if you like to know where the event takes place on a map, simply select the hCard and click on "view with Google Maps".
Other places where you find Microformats: Last.fm events, Neo101.nl, Italian Wikipedia, and a lot of other sites.
Note that Microformats are very new, not all sites use them. But both Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 8 support Microformats, so this is only a matter of time.
This plugin is based on the Operator extension for Firefox and DHTML Menu 4.
Supported Microformats:
- geo
- hCard
- hCalendar
- adr
- tag
NOTE: this plugin is for Maxthon 2.0 and higher only!
